What is the Political Courage Test?

Virginia Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I will never vote to fund Planned Parenthood. I am the only candidate that has pledged to sponsor a Personhood Amendment defining life as beginning at the moment of conception. Overturning Roe v Wade only sends it back to the states. Here in Virginia, Governor Northam and new Democratic majorities in the Virginia House of Delegates and in the Senate overturned decades of restrictions on abortion in one legislative term. This is my #1 priority. We must end the American holocaust on our watch.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I am the only candidate that has pledged to sponsor HR 25: The Fair Tax which ends all federal income based taxes and abolishes the IRS. We need to move HR 25 out of committee after 21 years and bring this to the floor of the House for a vote.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
No. We need to move away from any regulation that infringes upon the 1A rights of all Americans.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
No. We must work to balance the budget and that will require the some cuts in defense spending as well as structural changes to Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. We must learn to find savings in every department of the federal government including the Department of Defense.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
Yes, I support financial relief to those businesses and corporations since they were negatively impacted by those government actions. However, those relief bills should have included a plan to control future spending and to pay off the national debt.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
No, I will always support freedom in education. I will work to abolish the Department of Education which you will not find under Article I, Section 8 of our Constitution.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I am a card carrying member of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. My fellow VCDL members and I will always fight for the God-given right to self-defense.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
We must build the wall. Not one more dollar for Planned Parenthood and every dollar we need for border security. I am the only candidate to receive the "True Reformer" rating from NumbersUSA.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
The FairTax will bring manufacturing jobs back home.
Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
